About the Role

We're hiring reliable, safety-focused drivers to support autonomous vehicle testing in San Francisco. You'll spend approximately 4–8 hours in a vehicle per shift, performing safety and software checks, monitoring testing systems, and documenting observations for technical teams.

This is a driving and vehicle operations role requiring strong attention to detail, computer skills, and the ability to follow strict safety procedures.

Responsibilities

Operate and monitor vehicles during testing activities.
Perform vehicle inspections and basic software checks.
Record vehicle performance, observations, and issues accurately.
Communicate findings to engineering and operations teams.
Maintain vehicle cleanliness, safety, and readiness.
Stay alert and focused during extended, repetitive driving tasks.

Requirements

Valid California driver's license and 3 consecutive years of licensure without gaps.
Clean driving record and ability to pass MVR, background, and drug screenings.
Minimum typing speed of 45 WPM.
Comfortable using computers and learning new software.
Strong communication, situational awareness, and attention to detail.
Reliable attendance and ability to commit to assigned shifts long-term, including weekends.
Ability to provide required driver's license history documentation.

Available Shifts

Day: 5:45 AM–2:15 PM, 6:45 AM–3:15 PM, or 7:45 AM–4:15 PM
Evening: 1:45 PM–10:15 PM, 2:45 PM–11:15 PM, 3:45 PM–12:15 AM, or 5:45 PM–2:00 AM
Overnight: 11:45 PM–8:15 AM
Workdays: Wednesday–Sunday, Thursday–Monday, Friday–Tuesday, or Saturday–Wednesday.

Specific shift assignments depend on availability. Candidates must be able to maintain their assigned schedule.

Hiring Process

Qualified candidates must complete driver's license verification, a typing assessment, MVR review, background check, and drug screening.

The hiring process includes an approximately one-hour on-site interview with a practical driving test, typing test, and driving-knowledge assessment.
