Home every day. Deliver fresh and frozen groceries on 48'–53' reefer trailers to supermarkets across NY Hudson Valley, Long Island, NJ, CT, with PA backhauls. 250-mile radius from Chester, NY.
Pay
- $83,600–$87,600/year ($0.68–$0.74 per mile)
- Stop pay: $28.50–$30 per stop
- NYC stop bonus: $62.50 per load
- Detention pay: $15/hour
- Holiday pay: $280/day
- Truck move: $50
- New hire training pay: $200/day
- Safety training pay: $20/hour
Schedule
- Start time: 10 AM – 2 PM (no early morning wake-ups)
- Days off: Tuesday & Wednesday
- 5-day work week with optional 6th day for extra pay
- 6th day required only around 6 major holidays: Christmas, New Year's, Thanksgiving, Memorial Day, Labor Day, July 4th

What You'll Do
- 2 loads per day or one long load — about 15+ stops per week
- Mostly no-touch — customers unload, you assist
- Pick up returns or backhauls on the way back to the DC
- Help on other local accounts 2–3 days/week (pallet jack training provided)
About the NYC Routes
- Only 20–25% of freight runs into the 5 boroughs
- New drivers stay out of NYC for the first 6 months
- Then one-on-one training with NYC-certified trainers before running solo
- Gradual, supported onboarding — plus $62.50 per NYC load once you're running them
Equipment
- Automatic and manual daycabs, 3 years or newer on average
- Uniforms provided and maintained
- Slip-seated with an opposite-shift driver (we keep you in the same truck when possible)
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- Minimum 3 months of verifiable Class A driving experience
- Clean MVR
- Reliable personal transportation to and from the yard
- Strong customer service mindset
