Autonomous Vehicle Operations Technician
Location: Hybrid 2-3 days in office (New Stanton PA)
Schedule: Full-time, 5 days/week
About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Autonomous Vehicle Operations Technician to join our growing team. This role is critical in supporting the daily operations of our autonomous vehicle fleet, including preparing vehicles for launch, transporting and installing equipment, and ensuring all systems are functioning safely and efficiently.
You will work both independently and as part of a small, close-knit team to keep our fleet running smoothly. This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys hands-on work, thrives in dynamic environments, and is eager to grow into advanced technical roles within the autonomous vehicle industry.
Key Responsibilities
Operate and maneuver company vehicles (vans, trucks, cars) safely in various environments
Prepare vehicles for daily operations, including charging, software uploading, and basic troubleshooting
Gather, lift, transport, and install computer equipment (up to 50 lbs)
Set up and verify proper operation of onboard systems and equipment
Complete daily checklists, reports, and documentation accurately and on time
Assist with vehicle sanitization, workstation cleaning, and preparing sanitization kits
Perform basic vehicle adjustments and settings while parked
Package and ship equipment needing repair; support asset inventory and check-in/check-out processes
Respond quickly to changing conditions in a high-pressure environment while maintaining safety and focus
Uphold company safety standards and operational protocols
Support shift startup/shutdown and drive operational efficiency
Communicate equipment or upload errors clearly to the operations team
Demonstrate continuous learning and growth toward advanced technical and autonomous vehicle operator roles
Qualifications
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Ability to sit, stand, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures precisely
Comfort working independently or with small teams (2–10 people)
Basic technical aptitude (software/hardware installation, troubleshooting)
Excellent time management and communication skills
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and high-pressure situations
Prior experience in logistics, field operations, or automotive technology is a plus
