Weekend Vehicle Technician – Self-Driving Cars
Location: Columbus, OH – Onsite
Pay: $23–$28/hour
Schedule: Weekends, 12 PM – 9 PM (plus occasional weekday after 6 PM)
Contract: 6 Months

We’re hiring Weekend Vehicle Technician – Self-Driving Cars to support the production, maintenance, and repair of self-driving delivery robots. This role is hands-on and combines mechanical, electrical, and field work.

What You’ll Do

Assemble harnesses, cables, and connectors
Install and replace sensors (LiDAR, cameras, ultrasonic)
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on delivery robots
Diagnose issues and run service campaigns
Test mechanical and electrical components (suspensions, batteries)
Provide onsite support and assist with inventory
Contribute to R&D experiments and prototyping

Requirements

Experience with mechanical/electrical tools and measuring equipment
Ability to assemble/disassemble products and work with AC/DC currents
Able to read and follow 2D mechanical drawings and manuals
Valid driver’s license with clean record (past 12 months)
Physically able to lift/move 50 lbs+
Detail-oriented, problem solver, team player

Preferred

Automotive plant, service, or dealership experience
Strong computer literacy
Soldering skills
