Engineering Technician

About the Role
We're hiring Engineering Technicians to support the development and assembly of next-generation autonomous vehicle technology.
In this role, you'll work alongside engineers and cross-functional teams to assemble, test, inspect, and troubleshoot electronic hardware throughout the product development process. You'll support rapid prototyping, low-volume manufacturing, and quality assurance while ensuring projects are completed safely, accurately, and on schedule.
This role is ideal for someone with strong electro-mechanical assembly experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced engineering environment.
Work Schedule
- Monday – Friday
- 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Fully onsite
Responsibilities
- Assemble and test electronic hardware from engineering prototypes through low-volume production.
- Support engineers with product development and manufacturing improvements.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and assembly documentation.
- Perform final product testing following established procedures.
- Inspect work completed by other technicians to ensure quality standards are met.
- Troubleshoot assembly and manufacturing issues.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Communicate effectively with engineering and cross-functional teams.
Qualifications
- 4–6 years of electro-mechanical assembly experience or equivalent technical experience.
- Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and engineering documentation.
- Experience with electronic hardware assembly and testing.
- Proficient using assembly tools, including soldering irons, crimpers, torque tools, cutters, and pin insertion/removal tools.
- Hands-on experience with laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, and power supplies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience using Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides).
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced engineering environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical training, trade school, soldering certification, or equivalent hands-on training.
- IPC-610, IPC-620, or J-STD certification.
- Experience with SAP, Oracle, 3DX, or other PLM/ERP systems.
- Python or basic coding knowledge.
- Startup or low-volume manufacturing experience.
