Automotive Technician – Autonomous & Electric Vehicle Fleet
Location: Austin, Texas

As an Automotive Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring fleet safety, performance, and reliability through preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and field support.

Key Responsibilities

Assess and document vehicle damage following road incidents
Perform minor on-site repairs and coordinate major repairs with service partners
Conduct scheduled maintenance and inspections (brakes, fluids, AC, tires, etc.)
Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, including EV and ADAS systems
Monitor vehicle condition and proactively identify potential issues
Support field operations, including vehicle recovery, towing coordination, and evacuations
Transport vehicles for service, repairs, inspections, and cleaning
Maintain fleet, shop, and equipment cleanliness and safety compliance
Document work completed and follow operational procedures

Work Schedule:
Technicians are assigned to one consistent shift:

1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM
2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM–10:00 PM
Weekend Shift: Saturday–Sunday, 10:00 AM–10:00 PM

Required Qualifications

Previous experience as an automotive technician or in a similar mechanical role
Strong understanding of vehicle systems, diagnostics, and mechanical fundamentals
Knowledge of electric vehicle (EV) systems and technology
Valid Texas driver’s license and clean driving record
Ability to work independently and manage changing priorities
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality
Comfortable working with advanced autonomous vehicle technology
Prior experience as an EV Technician
Experience with ADAS or autonomous vehicle systems
OEM, dealership, fleet, or mobility company experience
