20-ton Heavy Machinery Operator
Location: Morgan Hill, CA
Pay: $45 per hour
Schedule: Full-time (30+ hours per week)
Work Type: On-site
Contract Role: 1 year+

About the Role
Machinery Operators to help test and operate large mining AUTONOMOUS vehicles. This role focuses on safely operating 20-ton vehicles, inspecting equipment, and providing feedback to engineering teams to improve vehicle performance and safety systems.

This is a great opportunity for experienced operators who take safety seriously and are interested in working with advanced vehicle technology.

What You’ll Do

  • Operate 20-ton mining vehicles and other fleet equipment safely
  • Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete DVIR reports
  • Report any maintenance or performance issues
  • Drive and operate vehicles for testing and evaluation
  • Provide written and verbal feedback to engineering teams about vehicle performance
  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies
  • Travel up to 50% when needed to support testing activities

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of verifiable heavy machinery operating experience
  • Comfortable operating and backing large 20-ton vehicles
  • Ability to drive for extended periods of time
  • Clean driving record
  • Must pass a background check, road test, DOT physical, and drug test
  • Professional attitude and ability to follow instructions

Preferred (Not Required)
CDL Class A license

Work Schedule
12-hour shifts with alternating weeks:
Week 1: 3 days on, 4 days off
Week 2: 4 days on, 3 days off

First week of training may take place in Sunnyvale, CA. After training, work will be based in Morgan Hill.
