Robot Service Technician

Pay: $25.00–$28.00 per hour

Job Overview

We are seeking a hands-on and versatile Robot Service Technician to support the production, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of self-driving delivery robots.

This role is ideal for a technician with experience in automotive, manufacturing, mechanical, or electrical environments who enjoys hands-on problem-solving and working across a variety of technical tasks.

Key Responsibilities

Production & Assembly

  • Assemble harnesses, cables, connectors, and electronic components.
  • Install, replace, and test sensors including LiDAR, cameras, and ultrasonic sensors.
  • Assemble and disassemble mechanical and electrical components.

Maintenance & Repairs

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a fleet of autonomous delivery robots.
  • Diagnose equipment breakdowns and investigate technical incidents.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems, including suspension systems and batteries.
  • Execute service campaigns and corrective maintenance activities.

Field & Technical Support

  • Travel between local sites to provide onsite technical support.
  • Support rapid prototyping, testing, and product improvements.
  • Maintain inventory of tools, parts, and equipment.
  • Assist with testing and troubleshooting in field environments.

Research & Development

  • Support R&D experiments and technical projects.
  • Assist with testing new components, systems, and prototypes.
  • Provide hands-on feedback to support product development.

Required Qualifications

  • Previous technician experience in automotive, manufacturing, robotics, electronics, or a related field.
  • Experience using mechanical and electrical tools and measuring equipment.
  • Ability to assemble and disassemble products and install electronic modules.
  • Working knowledge of AC/DC electrical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret 2D mechanical drawings.
  • Strong computer literacy and ability to learn technical software and systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for the past 12 months.
  • Ability to lift and move items weighing 50+ pounds.
  • Comfortable working in field environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in an automotive plant, dealership service department, or similar environment.
  • Soldering experience.
  • Experience with robotics, autonomous vehicles, electronics, or specialized equipment.
