Auto Technician

Location: Austin, TX
Pay: $24.00 – $28.00 per hour
Schedule: Full-time (assigned to one consistent shift)
JOB OVERVIEW:
We are hiring Automotive Technicians to support maintenance, repair, and readiness of autonomous electric vehicles. This role focuses on keeping vehicles operational through inspections, diagnostics, and light repairs in a fast-paced fleet environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assess and document vehicle damage after incidents
- Perform minor repairs and coordinate major repairs with vendors
- Conduct routine maintenance (brakes, fluids, AC, tires, inspections)
- Monitor vehicle condition and report issues proactively
- Support field operations, including towing and vehicle movement
- Transport vehicles for service, repairs, and cleaning
- Maintain shop and fleet readiness, cleanliness, and safety standards
REQUIREMENTS:
- Prior experience as an automotive technician or similar role
- Strong understanding of vehicle systems and diagnostics
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and a safety mindset
- Experience with EV or ADAS vehicles preferred
FULL SHIFT SCHEDULE (ASSIGNED ONE):
- Friday – Tuesday: 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Days Off: Wednesday & Thursday - Monday – Friday: 2:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Days Off: Saturday & Sunday - Saturday – Wednesday: 2:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Days Off: Thursday & Friday - Sunday – Thursday: 2:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Days Off: Friday & Saturday
