Autonomous Vehicle Operator – San Francisco, CA

$28–$29/hour | Full-Time W2 Contract

Schedule & Location

• Location: San Francisco, CA

• Paid Training: Approximately 1–2 weeks. Training may take place in San Francisco or Sunnyvale, CA.

• Shift: PM Shift only – 2:00 PM–10:30 PM

• Workdays: Friday–Tuesday

• Weekend Availability: Required (Saturday and Sunday)

• Employment: Full-time, ongoing W2 contract

• Pay: $28–$29/hour, depending on position and qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate vehicles during autonomous driving tests and data collection activities.

• Drive assigned routes while monitoring road conditions and surrounding traffic.

• Perform basic vehicle inspections and ensure vehicles are clean and ready for operation.

• Monitor vehicle systems and testing software.

• Document observations, issues, and testing results accurately.

• Communicate with engineering and operations teams.

• Follow established safety procedures and operational guidelines.

Requirements

• Recent professional driving experience – delivery, rideshare, courier, or other local driving experience.

• Valid U.S. driver's license and consistent driving history.

• Tech-savvy and comfortable using computers, mobile applications, and new software.

• Strong attention to detail and a safety-first mindset.

• Good communication and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to maintain focus during extended driving shifts.

• Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working independently and as part of a team.

• Willingness to complete background checks, MVR screening, and drug testing.

• Ability to commit to the PM shift and Friday–Tuesday schedule long-term.

Preferred Experience

We encourage applications from candidates with experience in:

• Amazon DSP, Amazon Flex, DoorDash, Uber Eats, Instacart, Spark, and other delivery platforms.

• Uber, Lyft, and other rideshare services.

• Courier and local transportation services.

• Automotive, vehicle testing, or autonomous vehicle operations.

No previous autonomous vehicle experience is required.
