Level 3 Vehicle Operator – Autonomous Vehicles

Houston, TX | $25/hour | Full-Time Indefinite Contract

Join a leading autonomous vehicle technology company as a Level 3 Vehicle Operator and help support the testing and development of self-driving vehicles.

What You’ll Do

Safely operate autonomous vehicles for 4–8 hours per shift
Monitor vehicle testing software and system performance
Perform basic vehicle and technology checks
Document issues, observations, and testing results
Provide clear feedback to engineering and operations teams
Follow detailed safety procedures and testing protocols
Support vehicle operations and other hands-on field tasks

Schedule

Day Shift: 6:45 AM – 3:15 PM
Night Shift: 3:45 PM – 12:15 AM

Schedules: Sunday–Thursday or Tuesday–Saturday

What We’re Looking For

Valid Texas driver's license held continuously for at least 3 years
Clean and consistent driving record
Strong safety mindset and excellent situational awareness
Comfortable using computers, software, GPS, and mobile technology
Strong communication and documentation skills
Able to type 45+ WPM
Reliable and able to work the assigned shift long-term
Comfortable driving for extended periods and performing repetitive, process-driven tasks
Quick learner who can adapt to new technology and procedures

Requirements

3+ consecutive years of driver's license history
Current Texas driver's license
Clean MVR
Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
Ability to complete a typing test and knowledge assessment

Day shifts earn an extra 5% an hour on weekends.
Night shifts starting after 1pm earn an extra 5% on weekdays and 7% on weekends.
Overnight shifts starting after 8pm earn an extra 7.5% on weekdays and 10% on weekends.*

Travel to Austin, TX training location is required the day before your start date, and you must remain there throughout the full 4 weeks of training.
