Data Capture Technician (Reality Capture / Field Data Collection)
Location: El Paso, TX, United States
Work Environment: In-Person/ Field-Based|Contract 
Pay: $20.00 per hour
Schedule: 1 weekday per week (810 hours)
Required Day: Friday (minimum 5 hours onsite)

Overview
We are hiring a Data Capture Technician to support reality capture and construction site data collection across active construction sites in El Paso, Texas.
In this part-time field role, you will operate 360° cameras, surveying tools, and data capture equipment to collect high-accuracy visual and spatial data used for AI, machine learning, and algorithmic analysis. This position is ideal for individuals interested in construction technology, surveying, reality capture, AI data collection, and field operations.
This role requires one full weekday per week, with Friday availability required (minimum 5 hours onsite).
Candidates must be reliable, safety-focused, and comfortable working outdoors on active construction sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate 360° cameras, reality capture devices, and surveying equipment on construction sites
  • Capture high-quality site imagery and spatial data for AI and machine learning applications
  • Perform field data collection and documentation using established workflows and tools
  • Communicate project progress and site updates to the project team
  • Follow construction site safety protocols, PPE requirements, and operational guidelines
  • Walk construction sites to capture comprehensive visual documentation and site coverage
  • Collaborate with project managers and technical teams to meet project-specific data capture requirements
  • Ensure all equipment is handled safely and data is captured accurately

Required Qualifications (Must Have)
  • Availability for one full weekday (8–10 hours) per week
  • Friday availability required (minimum 5 hours onsite)
  • Comfortable working on active construction sites and outdoor environments
  • Ability to walk long distances and perform light physical tasks during fieldwork
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data collection
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills
  • Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and strong work ethic
  • Commitment to workplace safety and site compliance protocols
  • Ability to work independently and problem-solve in field environments

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to have)
  • Background or interest in Construction, Civil Engineering, Surveying, Architecture, or Field Data Collection
  • Experience with site inspections, construction documentation, or fieldwork
  • Familiarity with cameras, surveying equipment, or data capture tools
  • Students or early-career professionals interested in construction technology or AI applications
