Schedule: Saturday–Sunday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM

About the Role

We are looking to hire a motivated, entry-level Robot Service Technician Assistant to maintain, troubleshoot, and prepare autonomous delivery robots for daily operations at Towson University.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in robotics, mechanical maintenance, and electro-mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare, inspect, clean, and maintain delivery robots.
Perform basic mechanical repairs and troubleshooting.
Manage battery charging and equipment readiness.
Assist with sensor calibration, wheel alignment, and software or hardware updates.
Support remote technical teams and maintain an organized workshop.

Requirements

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Basic computer literacy and good communication skills.
Ability to lift over 50 pounds safely.
Availability for weekend day shifts.
Automotive repair, electronics, robotics, or technician experience is preferred.
Relevant technical students and entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.

Have you supported R&D experiments, rapid prototyping, or testing activities? What type of work did you do, and how did you collaborate with engineering teams?*

Are you able to work onsite at the required location for this role?*

Do you have a valid driver’s license with a clean MVR for the last 12 months?*

Are you comfortable working in field environments and traveling locally as needed?*

Are you able to lift and move items over 50 pounds?
