Location: Sunnyvale, CA (potential future transfer to San Francisco)
Pay: $28/hour, plus a $0.50/hour increase every 6 months based on tenure
Employment: Full-time, ongoing W2 contract through HireArt
Work Arrangement: On-site, 5 days per week

About the Role

We're hiring experienced, safety-focused drivers to operate test vehicles and collect real-world driving data that supports the development of advanced vehicle technology.

This is a hands-on driving position. You will manually operate vehicles on assigned routes, complete inspections, document issues, and share observations with engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive test vehicles on assigned routes to collect driving data.
• Complete vehicle inspections before operation.
• Document vehicle issues, route conditions, and unusual observations.
• Communicate findings clearly to engineering teams.
• Follow driving procedures, safety requirements, and operational instructions.
• Use computers and software to support documentation and data collection.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of professional driving experience. Three or more years preferred.
• Valid U.S. driver's license held for at least 3 years, with supporting license history.
• No moving violations within the past 12 months and no DUIs.
• Recent professional driving experience, preferably in delivery, rideshare, or other high-frequency local driving.
• Comfortable learning new software and following technical instructions.
• Strong communication, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to pass a motor vehicle record (MVR) review, background check, and drug screening.
• Able to work in Sunnyvale for an indefinite period and commit to an available five-day schedule.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Preferred Experience: Amazon DSP/Flex, DoorDash, Uber Eats, Instacart, or similar local driving. Autonomous vehicle testing experience is a plus.

Morning: 6:00 AM–2:30 PM

• Wednesday–Sunday
• Thursday–Monday
• Saturday–Wednesday

Afternoon/Evening: 2:00 PM–10:30 PM

• Tuesday–Saturday
• Wednesday–Sunday
• Thursday–Monday
• Friday–Tuesday
• Saturday–Wednesday
• Sunday–Thursday

Important Employment Details

All employees begin working in Sunnyvale, CA. The San Francisco location is expected to reopen, but the reopening date is not confirmed. Candidates must be prepared to continue working in Sunnyvale indefinitely.

This is a W2 contract position through HireArt, not a direct permanent employment offer from Applied Intuition.

Interview Process

Candidates complete an MVR review followed by an on-site behavioral interview and practical driving test in Sunnyvale. The driving assessment evaluates safe driving, awareness, and the ability to communicate while driving.
